Suggestions
Enjoy with a splash of spring water, either slightly chilled or with a large ice cube. In a cocktail, it would go perfectly with ginger beer or tonic.
Eye: its golden colour with hints of amber heralds its complexity.
Nose: delicious toasty oak notes (Bourbon vanilla, toasted bread) that stand out against a delicately peppery gourmet base (pear, grape, light honey).
Palate: silky tannins come through in the attack, followed by notes of pastry and jammy fruit (marmalade, ripe apricot), pear, butterscotch and a delicately spiced finish.

Cognac VSOP Planat is the quintessence of our expertise. It is delicately chiselled and generous on the palate, boasting minerality drawn from the limestone soils of the Cognac region.

SUGGESTIONS
Enjoy with a splash of spring water, either slightly chilled or with a large ice cube. In a cocktail, it would go perfectly with ginger beer or tonic.
Eye: Its dark amber colour is flecked with touches of copper.
Nose: delicious oaky, soft, gourmet aromas encompassing both pastry (caramel fudge) and jammy fruit (orange peel, pear, peach, currants, quince). Its great breadth creates a comforting impression.
Palate: great roundness with elegant fruity notes, a delicate, soft and perfectly toasty touch of oak, and a slightly smoky finish. Gourmet complexity that lingers beautifully.

Eye: its dark colour with hints of gold draws you in.
Nose: deliciously complex notes that are both gourmet (crystallised orange peel, quince, prune) and intriguing (cedar, mild tobacco, smoke). Only ageing can provide these aromas so characteristic of old cognac.
Palate: the attack is clean and silky, dominated by sweet spices, Virginia tobacco and cocoa, then opening up into beautiful jammy fruit notes (apricot, bergamot) and ending with a spicy (Szechuan pepper), delicately smoky touch. The finish is exceptionally long.
